Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Rochester City Clerk’s office recounted the ballots from the primary election for the 5th ward city council seat Wednesday and found just one change in the result.

The initial count had Judy Hickey in second place, 18 votes ahead of Byron Clark. The recount gave Hickey one more vote, giving her a winning margin of 19 votes over Clark. She will face Shaun Palmer in the November general election.

The results of this recount and the one held Tuesday for the 1st ward seat are scheduled to be reviewed by the City Council Friday.

The 1st ward recount confirmed Heather Holmes was the second place finisher, just two votes ahead of Paul Myhrom.
