Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Charges have been filed against the Rochester man who held police at bay for four hours Tuesday night.

One of the charges filed against 26-year-old Levy Byler is for the methamphetamine found in his home after he surrendered. It’s suspected he was on meth at the time of the incident and was also suffering from a mental health issue.

He was taken to St Marys Hospital for an evaluation and at last report, was still there.

Officers were called to his home near Lincoln school after he began firing a gun outside the residence. He initially refused to surrender and threatened to shoot any officer who tried to enter his house. He finally came out around 11:30 p.m.
