ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A St. Paul man is charged with shooting and killing the mother of their 3-month-old girl on Easter morning.

Twenty-one-year-old Dimitri Harrell was charged Monday in Ramsey County with second-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Samirria White.

White's body was found Sunday on the bedroom floor of a St. Paul apartment. A preliminary autopsy report says she had been shot once in the head.

Harrell and White had argued in the bedroom where their newborn daughter had been sleeping.

Six or seven people, including several of White's siblings, were at the apartment when police showed up about 3:40 a.m., but Harrell was no longer there.
