Dodge Center, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man and woman were arraigned Tuesday morning in Dodge County Court on charges stemming from an assault and robbery that took place in Dodge Center early Monday morning.

A statement issued by Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose says deputies were called to a residence in the 100 block of 4th Avenue Northeast in Dodge Center shortly before 4 a.m. and found a 37-year-old man with multiple lacerations and other injuries suffered in an assault. He told the deputies he was robbed at gunpoint, pistol whipped and struck with a bat.

Shawn Clement and Tracy Brown were taken into custody at the same residence, where a search warrant was executed and investigators found four guns, methamphetamine drug paraphernalia and stolen property. Clement is charged with first-degree aggravated armed robbery, 5th degree controlled substance, receiving stolen property, and being a felon in possession of firearms. Brown was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and a 5th degree drug charge.

Conditional bail for Clement was set at $100,000, while Brown was given $20,000 conditional bail.

Sheriff Rose says the person who used the bat during the assault is still being sought and the case remains under investigation.
