Charges Dismissed in Rochester Carjacking Case
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Criminal cases against two men charged in a Rochester carjacking have been dismissed at the request of the Olmsted County Attorney’s office.
The men, 27-year-old Ali Khalif Abdibudul and 28-year-old Liban Mohamed Ahmed, were accused of threatening a man and then stealing his car.
The incident happened in April in the Meadow Park neighborhood. Police say the victim drove to the 1400 block of 4th Avenue SE to buy some drugs. Three men got into his car and one flashed a knife while another held a gun to the victim’s head, demanding money. The man was able to run away and when he returned, his car was gone.It was later recovered.
Olmsted County Attorney Mark Ostrem says the cases were dismissed at the request of the victim.
