MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A lawsuit filed by four men who say they were molested by a priest in the 1970s claims the Crosier Father and Brothers religious order created a public nuisance when they failed to warn families of the potential risk.

It was one of two lawsuits announced Thursday against the Crosiers and the Rev. Gerald Funcheon. It alleges the Crosiers are putting the public in danger by concealing accusations of sexual assaults.

It seeks the public disclosure of files of 19 priests whom the order has named as being credibly accused of abuse. It also seeks information about other accused priests.

The men claim they were molested by Funcheon at St. Odilia Catholic Church and School in Shoreview.

The Crosiers and Funcheon's attorney didn't immediately return messages seeking comment.
