It seems forever ago Byron's only grocery store closed, then the property purchased by Kwik Trip, but it was really only the summer of 2018. They've been busy turning a grocery store into a Kwik Trip with a HUGE surprise.

A liquor store!

I was so surprised to see that sign I got in touch with Kwik Trip. Steven Wrobel was great about answering my questions.

JR: I see a liquor store will be a component (a personal whoo-hoo as I live in Byron), is this new for Kwik Trip? The logo looks slightly different than the usual Kwik Trip logo, does this mean a vendor is handling the operation?

SW: Many of our new stores have a beer cave…and in just a few KT locations we do have a separate dedicated liquor store area to meet local requirements. So it’s not entirely a new concept to us. Vendors will help stock this area, but it is owned and run by Kwik Trip.

JR: Will it be a 24-hour liquor store and convenience store?

SW: The c-store will be 24 hours, while the liquor store will be open 8am-10pm Monday through Saturday and 11-6pm on Sundays.

JR: When are you opening?

SW: Opening Thursday, April 4th...at 5 AM. Ribbon Cutting is Wednesday, April 10th at 10:00 AM (Open house from 9 AM to 11 AM).
