Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - The State Patrol is reporting that a 26-year-old Byron man was killed Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash north of Rochester.

The deadly collision occurred around 7:30pm on Highway 63 between County Road 21 and Highway 247.

The State Patrol says the man killed in the wreck was driving a Honda Civic and was heading north when he crossed over the center-line and smashed into a southbound pickup driven by 63-year-old Jerome Walch of Rochester. He and his wife, 56-year-old Julie Walch, were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The name of the Byron man killed in the crash has not been released.
