Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Talk about a brazen burglar.

A Rochester couple woke up around 3 a.m. Tuesday to find a man with a flashlight in their bedroom, looking through the woman’s jewelry.

The 64-year-old man who was sleeping grabbed the thief but he broke free and ran. A patrol officer sent to the home in the 2600 block of 11th Ave NW noticed a suspicious car in the area but lost track of the vehicle.

It was later spotted by another officer and he questioned the two men inside - including the passenger who was not wearing a shirt. The officer found a hoodie in the vehicle that matched the description of the burglar. Also found in his possession was a watch with the male victim's name on it.

Arrested was 18-year-old Dylan Sutter, who is now facing burglary and other charges.

There was no sign of  forced entry to the home but officers did find a screen had been removed from a window.
