Body of Missing Minnesota Woman Found
LE SUEUR, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have recovered a body believed to be that of a missing camper from the Minnesota River in south-central Minnesota.
Le Sueur County Sheriff Dave Tietz says searchers are confident they have found the body of 20-year-old Moriah Zwart. The 20-year-old Le Sueur woman has been missing since last Friday.
The Star Tribune reports the body was found Wednesday afternoon about 2-and-a-half miles north of the sandbar where Zwart was last seen by a friend who was camping with her.
The six-day search began after the friend lost track of Zwart and notified her parents.
The sheriff says foul play is not suspected, but alcohol use is.
