Body of Missing Lake Minnetonka Boater Found

Orono, MN (Learfield News Service)  The search is over for a missing man whose boat was found circling Saturday night on Lake Minnetonka with no one on board.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says divers recovered the boater's body late Sunday morning on the north side of Big Island near Orono. Water patrol officers used sonar and an underwater remote operating vehicle to locate the man in his 40s.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine the official cause of death and identify the victim. Deputies are still investigating the incident.
