Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The identity of the person whose body was found Sunday night floating in a former gravel pit in northeast Rochester may be released later today.

Olmsted County Sheriff Kevin Torgeson says an autopsy was scheduled this morning of the adult male body.  He says there was no sign of foul play.

The body was found by a group of fishermen around 7 p.m.  It was facedown in about 2 feet of water on the southern end of the former pit, located about half a mile north of Foster-Arend Park on the west side of East River Road.

Last month, the Rochester Police Department asked the public’s help in trying to locate a college student who disappeared while home with his family and at last check, he had not been located. A search for 21 year old Harry Hempy was conducted in the Essex Park area but there was no sign of him.
