Undated (Learfield)  --  The Big Ten will play six Friday night football games each season beginning next year.

Not all schools in the conference will participate, while others have contingencies. The Friday games will be part of the Big Ten's TV agreements with ESPN/ABC and Fox.

The Friday night schedule for 2017 is expected to be released within the next week. Friday games will continue through at least 2022.

Golden Gopher head coach Tracy Claeys says he'd prefer not to host a Friday night game, but would be okay with playing a Friday game on the road.  Athletic director Mark Coyle says they'll play the schedule the Big Ten assigns them.
