WASECA, Minn. (AP) — Authorities suspect arson in the fire that destroyed the grandstands at a treasured baseball field in Waseca earlier this month.

The blaze broke out April 6 at Tink Larson Field.

The Minnesota chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever was responsible. The city of Waseca also is offering up to $5,000 through its insurance carrier.

Authorities are asking the public to call the Minnesota Arson Hotline at (800) 723-2020 with any information. Although the State Fire Marshal Division suspects arson, the fire remains under investigation.

The field is named for Tink Larson, a legendary figure in Minnesota high school baseball.
