ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Police have arrested at least 20 protesters for unlawful assembly in front of the governor's mansion on St. Paul's Summit Avenue.

Demonstrators have been camping outside the governor's residence since early July 7, a day after the shooting of Philando Castile, who was killed by a St. Anthony police officer during a traffic stop.

Police told the group Tuesday morning that they had to stop blocking the street. Protesters began cleaning up their belongings.

The Star Tribune reports police arrested three protesters on the sidewalk and another in the street about 11 a.m. after one allegedly removed a "No Parking" sign from a nearby curb.

Police had cleared the street before — on July 18 — but protesters went back into the road on Sunday.
