Sartell, MN (WJON News) -  Sartell police have released the name of the man whose body was pulled from the Mississippi River Tuesday night.

The victim has been identified as 79-year-old Lawrence Schuman of Sartell.

Police Chief Jim Hughes says authorities were called at  8:00 p.m. after Schuman failed to return home from work. Police were told Schuman does sometimes go for walks, but usually not at that time of day and it is usually only for 20 minutes. Authorities began searching the area asking various businesses and residents if they had seen Schuman. While going door to door, a resident said they saw a man sitting on a bench along the river.

At about 10:00 p.m. Schuman was found in the river.  He was pronounced dead at the scene. Hughes says no foul play is suspected in the incident.
