MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A person with knowledge of the agreement tells The Associated Press that the Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to trade veteran swingman Corey Brewer to the Houston Rockets for Troy Daniels and two future second-round picks.

The Rockets will also receive Ronny Turiaf, who is out for the season after surgery on his hip. The person spoke Friday on condition of anonymity because the trade has not been officially announced.

The Timberwolves will get a second-round pick in 2015 from Sacramento and a 2016 second-rounder from Houston, along with cash considerations.

The trade gives the Rockets another proven veteran defender in Brewer to compete in the demanding Western Conference. Yahoo Sports first reported the deal.
