Another triple-double for Westbrook...Spurs, Warriors stay hot.

UNDATED (AP) — Russell Westbrook's bid for an MVP trophy has been enhanced by his fifth triple-double in six games.

The NBA's leading scorer had 30 points, matched a career high with 17 assists and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Oklahoma City Thunder held off Toronto 108-104. It was his seventh triple-double of the season and 15th of his career.

Westbrook has helped the Thunder go 6-3 since Kevin Durant went down with a foot injury.

Enes Kanter had 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Thunder, while and Serge Ibaka had 21 points and five blocks.

In other NBA action:

— Draymond Green finished with 23 points and six assists as the Golden State Warriors earned their sixth consecutive home win, downing the Log Angeles Clippers 106-98. Klay Thompson added 21 points on 9 of 13 shooting, and Shaun Livington added a season-best 21 points and eight rebounds in 28 minutes off the bench. The Warriors improved to an NBA-best 49-12 despite a quiet performance by Stephen (STEH'-fehn) Curry, who finished with 12 points on 3 of 9 shooting and had just four assists.

— Tony Parker had a season-high 32 points in leading the San Antonio Spurs to their fifth straight victory, 116-105 over the Chicago Bulls. Kawhi Leonard added 20 points, Patty Mills had 15 and Manu Ginobili chipped in 14 as the Spurs stayed a half-game behind Dallas for sixth in the West. The Bulls are a half-game behind the Central Division-leading Cavaliers.

— Monta Ellis shot 5-for-7 from 3-point range and poured in 31 points to lead the Mavericks past the Lakers 100-93 in Los Angeles. Al-Farouq Aminu gave the Mavs a spark off the bench, providing 13 points, five rebounds and six steals in 20 minutes.

— Charlotte has a five-game winning streak after Al Jefferson scored 24 points in a 108-101 triumph at Detroit. Mo Williams had 19 points and nine assists, while teammate Gerald Henderson added 13 points, nine assists and six rebounds to help Charlotte move into seventh in the East, a half-game ahead of Indiana.

— Victor Oladipo scored a game-high 22 points and Orlando rallied from an early 20-point deficit to beat Boston 103-98. Tobias Harris finished with 21 points and rookie Elfrid Payton had 19, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

— Gordon Hayward scored 24 points and Utah won for the seventh time in nine games by downing the Nets 95-88 in Brooklyn. Former Net Derrick Favors added 22 points and eight rebounds as the Jazz ended up 3-1 on their road trip.

T25-SCHEDULE

Wisconsin, Maryland win

UNDATED (AP) — The top two teams in the Big Ten Conference have ended their regular-season schedules on an up note.

Frank Kaminsky scored 20 points and the sixth-ranked Badgers ended a 16-2 conference campaign by hammering No. 23 Ohio State 72-48. Bronson Koenig touched off a 16-0 second-half run with two 3-pointers to help Wisconsin tie a school record for league wins. Koenig had 15 points and Nigel Hayes 10 as the Badgers improved to 28-3.

The Terrapins have finished 14-4 in their first Big Ten Conference schedule by downing Nebraska 64-61. Melo Trimble scored 21 points, and Dez Wells capped his 18-point, 12-rebound performance by draining a big basket with 8.8 seconds left.

In other top-25 men's basketball play

—Seth Tuttle had 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists as 11th-ranked Northern Iowa roared back from an 18-point first-half deficit to beat Illinois State 69-60 and win the Missouri Valley Conference tournament championship. Nate Buss added 15 points as the Panthers, who are 30-3 after winning their conference title for the third time in seven years.

— No. 22 SMU clinched its first league regular-season title in 22 years, taking the American Athletic Conference crown with a 67-62 win over Tulsa. Markus Kennedy scored 12 of his 16 points in the second half to help the Mustangs improve to 24-6 and take another step toward their first NCAA berth since 1993.

NFL-MOVES

Eagles get Gore and Maxwell...Bills make McCoy the richest running back

UNDATED (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles have made up for the loss of running back LeSean McCoy and added depth to their secondary.

Two people familiar with the moves say five-time Pro Bowl running back Frank Gore and cornerback Byron Maxwell have agreed to contracts with the Eagles. The deal can't be announced until the NFL's new season begins on Tuesday at 4 p.m. EDT.

Gore leaves the San Francisco 49ers as the franchise's all-time leading rusher after 10 seasons. Maxwell started 17 games for the Seattle Seahawks over the last two seasons and played opposite All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman.

Also in the NFL:

— Newly acquired running back LeSean McCoy has a new big-money contract with the Bills, days after being acquired from Philadelphia. His agent says McCoy has accepted a five-year, $40 million deal that will make him the NFL's highest-paid running back, although just $26.5 million is guaranteed. The trade and McCoy's new contract won't take effect until the new NFL season begins on Tuesday.

NFL-JOHNSON

Running back shot, driver killed

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Running back Chris Johnson and another passenger were shot in the shoulder, and the driver of the vehicle was killed while stopped at a traffic light in Orlando Saturday night. Johnson and the other passenger, Reggie Johnson, were in stable condition at a hospital Sunday.

Sheriff's deputies say another vehicle pulled up to the Jeep the men were in and opened fire. The Jeep's driver, Dreekius Oricko Johnson, was killed.

Johnson is expected to make a full recovery. He spent last season with the New York Jets and becomes a free agent on Tuesday.

NHL-SCHEDULE

Rangers creep closer to Islanders

UNDATED (AP) — The New York Rangers are in great position to win just their second division title since their 1994 Stanley Cup run.

The Rangers are 1-0-1 in a pivotal five-game road trip after Derrick Brassard scored 32 seconds into overtime to give the Blueshirts a 1-0 triumph over the Blackhawks in Chicago. Cam Talbot stopped 29 shots in his fifth shutout of the season and eighth of his career.

The Rangers are 16-4-3 in their last 23 games to pull within one point of the Metropolitan Division-leading New York Islanders. The Rangers will have four games in hand when they face the Isles Tuesday at Nassau Coliseum.

The Blackhawks remain five points behind the Central Division-leading Nashville Predators.

— Daniel Paille scored twice in the second period and the Bruins improved to 5-1-1 in their last seven games by downing Detroit 5-3. The Bruins are four points ahead of Florida and five better than Ottawa in the battle for the last Eastern Conference playoff berth. The Red Wings absorbed their second straight loss since a three-game winning streak, leaving them seven points behind the Atlantic Division-leading Montreal Canadiens.

— The Senators coughed up a 4-0 lead in the last 13:04 of regulation before Kyle Turris, Milan Michalek and Erik Karlsson scored in the shootout to lift Ottawa past Calgary 5-4. Kris Russell scored twice during the Flames' frantic comeback, but they moved two points ahead of Los Angeles for the third and final automatic playoff berth in the Pacific Division.

— Minnesota had one five straight and eight of nine until Gabriel Landeskog scored the game-winner and had an assist in Colorado's 3-2 victory over the Wild. Zach Redmond also had a goal and an assist to support Semyon Varlamov's 29 saves. The Wild remain one point ahead of eighth-place Winnipeg and four in front of ninth-place Los Angeles in the scramble for the final two Western Conference berths.

— Adam Henrique scored twice and Steve Bernier had three assists in New Jersey's 5-2 win against Philadelphia. The outcome puts the Flyers seven points behind the Bruins for the last Eastern Conference playoff spot.

— Elias Lindholm notched his first NHL hat trick and finished with a career-high five points as Carolina rallied to beat Edmonton 7-4. Jeff Skinner added a pair of power-play goals after the Hurricanes fell behind 3-0 in the second period.

NASCAR-LAS VEGAS

Harvick wins in Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Defending NASCAR champion Kevin Harvick picked up his first victory of the season following back-to-back runner-up finishes.

He led 142 of the 267 laps in beating Martin Truex Jr. at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Harvick has six consecutive top-two finishes dating to last season.

Ryan Newman finished third and was followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr. in a Chevrolet sweep of the top four spots.

GOLF-CADILLAC CHAMPIONSHIP

Johnson wins at Doral

DORAL, Fla. (AP) — Dustin Johnson earned his ninth PGA victory and moved to No. 6 in the world by capturing the Cadillac Championship at Doral.

Johnson was flawless on the back nine en route to a 3-under-par 69. He had a 9-under total for a one stroke victory over J.B. Holmes, who stumbled in the final round. Holmes lost a five-shot lead and closed with a 75.

Masters champion Bubba Watson opened with four birdies in seven holes to lead by two shots, only to make three bogeys in a four-hole stretch on the back nine. Watson was two strokes back.

GOLF-LPGA-SINGAPORE

Park wins again

SINGAPORE (AP) — Inbee Park claimed her 13th career LPGA title by winning the HSBC Women's Champions, shooting a 2-under 70 in the final round to win by two strokes. Park, who started the day with a two-stroke lead, had birdies on Nos. 7 and 11 to finish the tournament at 15-under to defeat 17-year-old Lydia Ko. Park completed the tournament without recording a single bogey.

TENNIS-DAVIS CUP

U.S. ousted

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) — There won't be a Davis Cup victory for the U.S. this year. The Americans were eliminated by Britain when Andy Murray beat John Isner in straight sets to give the Brits an unassailable 3-1 lead on the final day of competition. The fifth-ranked Murray overcame a wobbly start in the first reverse singles to win 7-6, 6-3, 7-6 in Glasgow, Scotland, and clinch a first-round victory over the Americans for the second straight year.

Britain will host France in the quarterfinals on July 17-19.

WORLD CUP-WOMEN'S SUPER-G

Vonn wins World Cup Super-G

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) — American Lindsey Vonn won a World Cup Super-G race to regain the lead in the discipline with one race remaining on the World Cup schedule. Vonn is chasing her fifth Super-G World Cup title and stretched her record with a 23rd race win in the event.

She now has a record 65 career World Cup victories after putting together a winning time of 1 minute, 16.65 seconds in sunny conditions.
