Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There’s been another high speed police chase in the area.

Does this sound familiar?  A high speed police chase began in the Zumbrota area and ended in Rochester. That’s what happened last week and it happened again Tuesday morning.

A Rochester police spokesman says a Goodhue County deputy tried to stop a vehicle in the Pine Island  area but the driver took off into Dodge County. The chase made its way to Zumbrota and then south on Highway 52 to Rochester, entering the city around 1 a.m. - with both front tires flattened by stopsticks put down by an Olmsted County deputy.

The driver kept going and exited at Elton Hills Drive, drove over to the Kellogg Middle School area, back to Broadway, then to 37th Street and he eventually crashed into a curb at West River Parkway.

The driver and his passenger jumped out and ran but were caught. They have been identified as 38 year old Jared King and his 31 year old wife Melissa. She was taken to the Olmsted County jail on a warrant. Her husband was taken to the Goodhue County jail.
