As many of you have heard, the Destination Medical Center board announced at its meeting last week that it had met and surpassed the 200-million dollar private investment threshold.

It's a number set by the state legislature back when the DMC plan was given the go ahead a couple years ago. So, what does that mean?

Patrick Seeb was a guest on Rochester's Good Morning Tuesday. He is the Economic Development and Placemaking Director for DMC and he explained what's next.

You've seen construction taking place for apartments in the downtown area, there are plans for construction in Discovery Square to begin this fall and, according to Seeb, a "refresh" is in the works for the downtown Peace Plaza area, as well.

The next DMC board meeting is April 27th and it's open to the public. You can get more information at DMC.MN
