(AP) — Josh Mitchell broke a tie in the third period and Rochester Institute of Technology beat top-seeded Minnesota State-Mankato 2-1 Saturday yesterday in the Midwest Regional semifinals of the NCAA hockey tournament. RIT became the first Number 16 overall seed to beat the top tournament seed.

Evan Rodrigues scored with 2:24 left in the third period and Boston University held on to beat Minnesota-Duluth 3-2 Saturday in the NCAA hockey tournament's Northeast Regional championship. Willie Raskob and Kyle Osterberg scored for the Number 2 seed Bulldogs in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Drake Caggiula scored his team-leading 18th goal of the season, Zane McIntyre stopped a handful of point-blank shots and North Dakota beat St. Cloud State 4-1 on Saturday night in the West Regional final to advance to the Frozen Four.
