A Very Cold Morning in Rochester

Rochester, MN ( KROC ) - The Rochester area experienced its coldest morning in more than three weeks Thursday.

 The mercury at the Rochester airport fell to 16 below around 6 a.m. The last time it was that cold was January 13th when the official low temperature was -17.

Other cities in the region had similar overnight lows.

Wind chill readings are expected to be in the minus 20 - 30 degree range through the morning.

Warmer air is expected to move into the region beginning tonight.
