It looks like southeastern Minnesota is in for a break for part of today.  The rain that moved into the region yesterday has ended but there is a good chance of more late this afternoon or evening and it could linger into tomorrow morning.  There is expected to be another break tomorrow afternoon through late Sunday when another round of rain is forecast to develop.

The National Weather Service says 24 hour rainfall totals

as of this morning are generally in the 1 - 2 inch range.  The highest totals in Olmsted County were in northwestern areas with around 2 inches near Oxbow Park and the Douglas area.  Totals in Rochester were around 1 ½ inches.  The airport total was 1.3 inches.

The Weather Service says there is a potential for another inch or so by tomorrow morning.
