Sand Creek, WI (Learfield News Service)  - A pilot from Duluth escaped injury when his plane went down in western Wisconsin Wednesday morning.

The Dunn County Sheriff's Office reports the accident happened a little after 11:00 AM in Sand Creek Township.

Shortly after someone made a 911 call, the pilot walked into the Sand Creek Fire Department. The plane's wreckage was found in a harvested cornfield where it hit an irrigator.
