Zakariya Ali was accused of stabbing a 23-year-old friend after the two men got into a heated argument while the victim was giving Ali a ride home the morning of February 19th.

The man told police he stopped his car and ordered Ali to get out and when he refused to leave, he opened the passenger door and again ordered him out of the car.  That’s when he was attacked and suffered about a half a dozen non-life-threatening leg, hand, and arm injuries.

He also had a cut behind one of his ears when he was brought to the St. Mary’s Hospital emergency room by another friend.

Ali is scheduled to be sentenced May 15th.
